Gypsy Sampler

I am working on the sample quilt for my new ‘Gypsy Sampler’ pattern.
One sample will be made with silk. I started out choosing 9 colors plus white
and auditioned some ribbons for a bed scarf.

I first had to stabilize the silk to stop the raveling process. I use an ultra-light fusible interfacing.
After stabilizing everything I started cutting and piecing.

This is a sneak peek at where I am in the sewing process.

I love working with silk. It is such a beautiful fabric! The colors are vibrant and alive.
Come back to check out the progress.
