Paris day two morning

Where oh where does the time go? Too much to do. I seem to get bogged down in daily work (work that I love by the way) and somehow the days fly by and I don’t get my blogging done. Sorry about that. Here goes for day two in Paris!

We started the day with breakfast in the hotel and then loaded on to our tour bus to see the sights.
Regrettably it was raining but we just kept on touring. We went by this fabulous fountain. The details were so beautiful!

We passed by the Moulin Rouge, such a great building.

We were on our way to Montmartre hill where the famous basilica Sacre’-Coeur is located. Our bus driver let us out and we walked up the first part of the hill then some of us rode the funicular or small tram to the top of the hill. Some brave souls walked the steps to the top of the hill.

The view from the top looking out over Paris is a sight to see.

The view of the basilica was also daunting.

Look at the wonderful gargoyle.

Mary and I posed for a picture.

I love the views between buildings.

The ivy growing on the side of the buildings.

These cute tea pots were mounted on the side of a store.

At the top of the hill is the shopping area and where the artists are set up painting and selling there work. I bought a small painting of bright flowers from this lovely lady. The sign says no photos but she said I could take her picture.

Even the graffiti on the side of the buildings was art.

On our way back to the bus it started to rain really hard and then it sleeted on us. We got soaked to the bone! But luckily we got back on the bus to tour some more. I just could not get over how beautiful the architecture was.

this is the famous pyramid at the Louvre.

Gorgeous flowers in a garden.

We ended our morning at the Eiffel Tower.

The afternoon was another adventure entirely.

To be continued!
