April in Paris day one

A fabulous opportunity came my way this year and my fabulous husband and dear friend made it come to fruition for me. I knew about a trip to Paris that was in the works for ladies wanting to go to the famous Paris flea markets. My husband and I had discussed the possibility of me going. As it turned out I was traveling when the email came through announcing the trip. Well, my husband David and my good friend Mary went to work and booked the trip. Mary went with me and we had a fabulous time. For the next few days I am going to let you feel like you were with us. We left Dallas on Wednesday and arrived in Paris on a Thursday morning. We were booked into the Hotel Littre.

After settling in we explored the neighborhood and had lunch at a small bistro in the area. And when the rest of our group arrived we had a great walking tour. On the way to the Luxembourg Gardens we passed quaint shops and bakeries.

The architecture on the way was also breathtaking.

The doors around the city were wonderful.

Once we arrived at the gardens the sights were fabulous. We saw wonderful statues, dreamy flowers, old old buildings and there was great people watching.

I fell in love with this tree.

This was a holy water font in an old cathedral.

We returned to our hotel in the early evening and took our guides advice for room service and early to bed to get ready for the next day.
